Boyzone's Struggle Over Gately Tragedy

Irish pop group BOYZONE are still struggling to come to terms with the death of bandmate STEPHEN GATELY, two months on from the tragedy.

Singer Ronan Keating insists the No Matter What hitmakers refuse to accept their pal is gone, and still expect him to join them in the studio.

And all four members struggled to film a promo video for an upcoming single, because heartbreaking images of Gately were beamed onto a wall during the shoot.

Keating tells U.K. morning show GMTV, "None of us can deal with it. We can't. We still feel he is going to walk in the room. I can't get my head around the fact he is gone. It doesn't make any sense to any of us. I can't understand it. He was so young, so healthy, (had) so much to live for. It's just bananas (crazy) that he is gone.

"We shot the video for the new single and it was really tough because we had some footage of him on a projector on the wall. It's just crazy - we just can't fathom it. I don't want to believe it as well, that's the other thing. You don't want to believe it's true that he's gone.

"It's hard to believe. He was so fit and so healthy. But these things happen in life."

Gately died at his home in Majorca, Spain, in October (09) after suffering a build-up of fluid in his lungs.
