BOYLE STRUGGLES TO MAKE TRAINSPOTTING SEQUEL INTERESTING
Director DANNY BOYLE fears he faces an uphill struggle to stop his TRAINSPOTTING sequel from becoming a boring film about middle-aged ex drug addicts.
Boyle and actor Ewan MCGregor made their names with the 1996 movie about a group of heroin addicts in Edinburgh, Scotland, based on a novel written by Irvine Welsh.
The film maker has finally caved into pressure to take Welsh's follow-up book, Porno, to the big screen.
The story catches up with the characters some years into the future - and Boyle worries it's not exciting enough to interest moviegoers.
He tells Moviehole.net, "It would concentrate on them being middle-aged and having left behind all the party times. It'd be very different. As they confront middle age... (it) could be very boring really!"
