BOYLE MAKES BETTER FILMS ON HOME SOIL

British director DANNY BOYLE hates working abroad - because he makes better movies filming in his homeland. The TRAINSPOTTING filmmaker, who moved back to England after working on THE BEACH in Thailand in 2000, is disillusioned with Hollywood and now insists on shooting his films on British soil. He says, "I think I'm better at making films on my home turf. You learn from experience, and I learned that through The Beach. "I love big movies, but I'm better at small films."
