BOWIE LANDS SPONGEBOB ROLE
DAVID BOWIE has agreed to voice a character in an upcoming SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS special because his daughter is a huge fan of the cartoon. The 59-year-old rocker - who has dabbled with acting in movies including THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH and LABYRINTH - will lend his voice to the LORD ROYAL HIGHNESS character, much to the delight of six-year-old ALEXANDRIA. He says, "At last, I've hit the Holy Grail of animation gigs."
