BONO: 'I AM HORRIFIC IN 3-D'

Rocker BONO hates seeing himself on-screen - and admits his image inhibitions have been made worse after seeing himself in new U2 movie U2 3-D. The band filmed the movie at a number of dates in South America during their Vertigo tour between 2005 and 2006 - with the end result premiered on Saturday (19Jan08) at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. And the singer insists seeing himself in three-dimensional footage was extremely unnerving. He says, "It's kind of horrific. It's bad enough on a small screen. Now you get to see the lard arse 40-foot tall." But bandmate The Edge says watching the movie helped to prove to him U2 were still talented: "I was really hoping we weren't crap after all these years. Luckily we weren't."
