BONHAM WARNS LED ZEP FANS NOT TO BE 'GREEDY'
Drummer JASON BONHAM is urging LED ZEPPELIN fans not to be "greedy" as the internet heats up with reunion tour stories. The veteran rockers have so far refused to confirm rumours of a 2008 world tour, following their triumphant live return at a benefit concert in London earlier this month (Dec07), and Bonham is tiring of all the speculation. Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin's original drummer, John, who died in 1980, insists fans should be lucky the group reunited at all. He says, "I'm still the new guy and I wouldn't know (if they're planning a tour). Is it gonna be (happening) again? Don't be greedy... "If they do it again, of course I would love to (join them). But that's up to them. Only time will tell." And Bonham admits he is still trying to come to terms with the overwhelming experience of the 10 December concert: "It kinda feels surreal, like it never really happened in some way... (I was) amazed I pulled it off."

You know people should be happy they even got to hear zeplin live that whould
be my dream come ture. See when your dad played for zepplin i lived in chichigo
and tata was the night robert got sick i didnt get to see the whole concert
thats why i am glad to see that you might take over your dads spot, i know no
one will ever take the place of your dad but i am glad to see your trying, hope
to see you live, peace.
You are one noble man, something rare in these times. We're blessed to have
someone strong enough to speak his mind candidly, in this case, regarding fans
and the concert industry, and their greed.
Accolades aside - oh wait, the upsoming ARE accolades! Up until somewhat
recently, I had only had the opportunity to see you play via some Led Zep
tapes, which left a lot to be desired.
Serendipity stepped in when I inadvertently channelsurfed into an episodic
documentary capturing the formation of a super group with a wildly versatile
membership (Ted Nugent/Sebastian Bach???). Became entranced with that same
drummer. You were struggling with a pinched nerve - it is beyond me how you
could have continued, including taking time to tour with Foreigner in the midst
of the chaos of certain 'supergroupers'. No matter how many anti-inflammatories
or pain pills you may have been given to mask the pain, it is a severely
vicious affliction. To see you step in, powerful and compelling, gave us much
to apire to.
Many thanks for many things,
Victoria
