Rocker JON BON JOVI is still baffled by the success of his group's signature tune, LIVIN' ON A PRAYER, because he initially hated the track. The rocker admits he fought to keep the track off BON JOVI's hit album SLIPPERY WHEN WET and was astonished when record company executives insisted the group released it as a single. He says, "I can't tell you that from the moment we wrote Living On A Prayer that I thought it should even be included on the Slippery When Wet record. "It's probably the cornerstone of one of our greatest hits. "I just thought it was OK. It was number one for I don't know how many weeks and it was truly a staple of our career."
