BON JOVI PARTY RAISES $3 MILLION FOR OBAMA
Rocker JON BON JOVI hosted a fundraiser for U.S. presidential candidate BARACK OBAMA at his New Jersey home on Friday (05Sep08) - and helped raise $3 million (GBP1.62 million) for the Democrat's campaign efforts.
Over 100 people attended the gathering, paying more than $30,000 (GBP16,200) each for the privilege of rubbing shoulders with Obama and his celebrity host.
Bon Jovi is a fervent Democrat who has been a major part of past election campaigns.
