BOGDANOVICH SUED OVER ASSISTANT

Actor/director PETER BOGDANOVICH is being sued by a man who claims the filmmaker demanded he be paid for employing his son. IAROSLAV JIKOV filed a lawsuit in New York's District Court last Tuesday (13MAR07), claiming THE LAST PICTURE SHOW director and his business manager WILLIAM PEIFFER agreed to hire his son MATT JIKOV on the condition they receive $100,000 (GBP51,200). Iaroslav says he met Bogdanovich and Peiffer twice in 2005 to discuss the opportunity to break his son in the film industry, and paid them the money on 7 February 2005. Iaroslav said he demanded the money back in January 2006, but the pair refused.
