BLUES TRAVELER STAR'S DRUGS CHARGES TO BE DROPPED
BLUES TRAVELER frontman JOHN POPPER's marijuana possession charge will be dropped if the singer avoids getting caught with the drug for the next year.
Popper was arrested in Washington in March (07) after cops found pot and drug paraphernalia in his SUV during a traffic stop.
The Grammy Award-winner was a passenger in the car at the time.
Police also found a cache of firearms in the vehicle, but the guns were all legally owned.
A weapons charge over brass knuckles and a knife that were found in the glove box was dropped when Popper agreed to surrender them to the authorities.
Popper is also required to undergo eight hours of classroom drug counselling as part of his settlement.
