BLOC PARTY AXES SHOW OVER HEALTH FEARS

British rockers BLOC PARTY cancelled a gig in Wales on Friday (16Oct09) after guitarist RUSSELL LISSACK was forced to undergo a medical procedure.
The Helicopter stars were set to play in Newport, Wales as part of their U.K. tour, but axed the show after it became apparent Lissack needed urgent medical attention.
Although the group's representatives have not confirmed what the procedure was, they insist that "while not being serious, (it) cannot be delayed until the end of the tour".
The band is unable to reschedule the show, but has promised refunds to fans from wherever tickets were purchased.
