Oscar nominated actress BRENDA BLETHYN is desperate to launch a career in stand-up comedy. The Pride and Prejudice star, 61, plays a middle-aged mother who makes a comeback on the stand-up circuit in her latest film Clubland - and now she is keen to give the profession a go herself. She says, "I'd like to give it a try. I'll need a really good writer. I'd like to have a go with some good material. I'm such a fan of people like (British comic) Jo Brand, who's just a naturally funny woman and seems so totally at ease."
