Oscar nominee BRENDA BLETHYN had to explain to her late mother how successful she had become, because she didn't realise the star got paid for her work. Housewife LOUISA even considered turning to drama herself, when she discovered there was money in it. Blethyn jokes, "She said to me once, 'When you're acting all day long, how do you earn your money?' I said, 'They pay me mum.' "She said, 'Do they? Have they got any jobs going?"
