BLANCHETT TO TAKE ON MILLER'S MAID MARIAN ROLE?

Aussie Oscar-winner CATE BLANCHETT is favourite to replace axed actress SIENNA MILLER in RIDLEY SCOTT's forthcoming movie NOTTINGHAM.Miller was slated to portray Maid Marian in the new picture alongside Russell Crow, who will tackle the lead role in the tale of Medieval English outlaw Robin Hood.
Miller was dropped early in the film's pre-production stage, but has refused to comment on why she was axed.
Now, Nottingham actor Mark Strong has namechecked Blanchett as the perfect star to replace Miller - insisting the film would be complete if moviemaker Scott get the actress to agree to the role.
Strong says, "She is a wonderful actress and it would make it a much classier film if she was in it."
Nottingham is due to begin filming in England in March (09).
