BLANCHETT 'THRILLED' WITH STAMP HONOUR
Australian actress CATE BLANCHETT is delighted to be included in her country's national day celebrations - the star will see her face printed on a set of postage stamps.
The Oscar winner, along with fellow Aussies Nicole Kidman, Russell Crowe and Geoffrey Rush, will all have their international stardom and their roots down under commemorated for Australia Day on 26 January (09).
And Blanchett is overwhelmed by the tribute.
She says, "I am utterly, deeply, humbled and chuffed by the fact that I'm a stamp. I'm going to be licked by millions of Australians and I can't wait. It is also recognising the value of the arts in Australia. It brings it into general consumption and if I'm part of that, I feel intensely proud."
