BLANCHETT MISTAKEN FOR FILM TECHNICIAN BY QUEEN'S HUSBAND

Oscar-winning actress CATE BLANCHETT was stunned after the British monarch's husband PRINCE PHILIP asked her to fix his DVD player. The Australian star, who has twice placed Queen Elizabeth I, told the Duke of Edinburgh she worked in film - so he asked her to fix his broken appliance. British newspaper The Daily Telegraph claims the Queen's husband told the pregnant star, "There's a cord sticking out of the back of the machine. Might you tell me where it goes?" But a spokesman for Buckingham Palace failed to recall his meeting with Miss Blanchett. He says, "The Duke of Edinburgh meets so many people when he is escorting the Queen on engagements." "These are often film stars, actors and actresses. I cannot recall an occasion recently when he might have met Miss Blanchett but we do not always get guest lists for every engagement or social function."
