BLANCHETT 'JUST FINE' AFTER HEAD INJURY
Australian theatre bosses have assured fans CATE BLANCHETT is "just fine" after she was left with a bloody head injury during a performance on Wednesday (01Sep09).
The Oscar winner was starring in The Sydney Theatre's A Streetcar Named Desire when a prop radio held by co-star Joel Edgerton fell on Blanchett's head.
The actress continued with the show, but was forced to stop after realising she was injured. Organisers then cancelled the rest of the show and asked audience members to leave the building.
However, executives at the theatre company have attempted to play down the scare, claiming Blanchett has not been seriously hurt and is still scheduled to take the stage as planned on Wednesday night (02Sep09).
A spokesperson says, "Cate's just fine."
