BLANCHETT CREDITS SUCCESS WITH SEX SYMBOL RELUCTANCE

Actress CATE BLANCHETT has credited her successful film career with her reluctance to see herself as a sex symbol. The Elizabeth star isn't worried about being at her most attractive in public and on-screen, but sometimes wishes she could enhance her sexiness. She says, "I've never felt I could play up to the myth of the sex siren. But maybe that's been a good thing - because I just worry about my work and don't have to bother about always trying to look like the hottest thing on the red carpet. "Sometimes I wish I could be sexier, but I haven't done badly for myself with what I've got."
