BLAIR REVEALS EXTRAS CAMEO

Veteran British entertainer LIONEL BLAIR has been lined up to star in a farewell special of EXTRAS. The comedy show's creator and star RICKY GERVAIS phoned the 75-year-old personally to invite him to follow in the footsteps of previous guest stars Robert De Niro, Kate Winslet and Sir Ian MCKellen. Blair says, "I couldn't believe it when I got the call from Ricky." However, the cheery TV personality confesses his role will be a huge challenge: "I'm known as always happy and always smiling but I was told I'll have to play it glum." Blair's cameo is expected to be broadcast this Christmas (07).
