BLACK TO SING IN JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

SCHOOL OF ROCK star JACK BLACK will step into the role of KING HEROD when the original stars of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR reprise their roles for a benefit performance. Cast members TED NEELEY (JESUS), YVONNE ELLIMAN (MARY MAGDALENE), BARRY DENNEN (PONTIUS PILATE) and BEN VEREEN (JUDAS ISCARIOT) are all reuniting. The benefit performance of the ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER/TIM RICE show will be held at the Ricardo Montalban Theater in Hollywood on 13 August (06). All proceeds will go to YouTHeatre America, of which Black is an alumnae.
