BLACK: 'HIGH CONCEPT TOUR IS COSTING US MONEY'
JACK BLACK insists he is losing money on his TENACIOUS D tour because ticket prices fail to cover the costs of the amazing stage show he puts on with bandmate KYLE GASS. The actor/rocker wanted to take audiences back to the days of 1980s metal concerts with a lavish stage production and insists their high-concept tour rivals PINK FLOYD's excesses. He tells MTV, "We've always wanted to get some priests out in front of our concerts, yelling, 'Don't go in there - your soul will be damned for eternity,' because that means you've made it. Or at least that was the signal for success during the 1980s metal days. "Some might complain that the tickets are too much. But we're not making any money - we're losing money on the tour. We're like f**king Pink Floyd now."
