BLACK EYED PEAS' MUSLIM GIG BAN REVERSED
The Malaysian government has lifted a ban preventing Muslims from attending an upcoming BLACK EYED PEAS concert.
The Boom Boom Pow hitmakers are due to perform at a theme park in Kuala Lumpur on 25 September (09) as part of Irish alcohol giant Guinness' 250th anniversary concerts.
But because the gig is sponsored by the drinks company, officials placed a ban on Muslims attending as Islamic law prohibits the consumption of alcohol.
An official at the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture previously said, "Muslims cannot attend. Non-Muslims can go and have fun."
Now the decision has been reversed and Muslims will be allowed to watch the Where Is the Love? stars perform - although no explanation has been given for the rule change.
