BJORK LENDS NAME TO ICELANDIC INVESTMENT FUND
Icelandic pop star BJORK has loaned her name to a venture capital fund focused on "incorporating feminine values into the world of finance".
The outspoken singer has partnered with financial services firm Audur Capital for the venture.
The company will put $832,000 (GBP543,790) into the fund to invest in sustainable businesses that create value using Iceland's resources, nature, culture and green energy as leverage.
Bjork tells Icelandic daily Morgunbladid: "It's a great honour to have (the fund) named after me."
An Audur Capital spokesperson adds: "The fund is intended for investors seeking investment opportunities in new venture creation and business development of small companies with the objective of fuelling the recovery of the Icelandic economy."
