BIOSHOCK GAME TO BE MADE INTO MOVIE
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN filmmaker GORE VERBINSKI is set to direct the silver screen adaptation of the hit video game BIOSHOCK, according to reports.
Universal Studios has signed a deal with the game's publisher, Take-Two Interactive - believed to be the biggest video game-to-cinema contract since Fox and Universal's 2005 negotiations with Microsoft for the now-aborted Halo movie, reports Variety.
BioShock, set in a nearly-deserted underwater city, has sold more than 2 million units worldwide.
