BEYONCE: 'I WANT TO BE WONDER WOMAN'

BEYONCE KNOWLES has named her superheroine - she wants to be WONDER WOMAN.
The singer/actress recently revealed she'd love to hit the big screen as a comic book icon - and now she's revealing just who she'd like to play.
She tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, “I want to do a superhero movie and what would be better than Wonder Woman?. It would be great. And it would be a very bold choice - a black Wonder Woman would be a powerful thing. It’s time for that.
"I love Wonder Woman and it’d be a dream come true to be that character. It sure would be handy to have that lasso. To make everybody tell the truth? I need that. It would come in very handy.
“After doing these roles that were so emotional, I was thinking to myself, ‘OK, I need to be a superhero...’ There’s also an action element (to those films) that I would enjoy.”
But she faces some stiff competition to recreate Lynda Carter's iconic Wonder Woman TV character on the big screen - Dannii Minogue also wants the role, and Mission: Impossible III star Keri Russell has signed up to play the heroine in a new animated movie.
Meanwhile, Lucy Lawless voiced Wonder Woman in the recent Justice League: The New Frontier film and sexy Megan Gale is slated to play the superheroine in the long-delayed Justice League Of America blockbuster.
