BEYONCE FOUGHT TO RELEASE DEBUT ALBUM AS IT WAS

BEYONCE clashed with Columbia Records bosses over her debut solo album DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE - because label executives were convinced none of the tracks had the potential to become hit singles.
The former Destiny's Child star was left speechless when she presented her finished project to Columbia executives, only to be told to go back into the studio and start again.
But the R&B superstar refused to change her tracklisting and her instincts were proved correct when the disc became a worldwide smash upon its release in 2003 - going on to win five Grammy Awards the following year (04).
She says, "In 2003 I had my first solo album. But when I played it through for my record label, they told me I didn't have one hit on my album. Dangerously In Love, (and singles) Naughty Girl, Me, Myself and I, Baby Boy and Crazy In Love.
"They told me I didn't have one hit. I guess they were kinda right, I had five."
Beyonce's 2004 Grammy success matched the likes of Lauryn Hill and Alicia Keys for most wins by a female artist in a single night.
