BEYONCE KNOWLES piled on the pounds to play R+B great ETTA JAMES with the help of butter pecan ice-cream.
The singer/actress gained 20 pounds (9 kilograms) to play the singer in new movie Cadillac Records and admits she indulged in frozen treats to bulk up.
She says, "I ate a lot of butter pecan ice-cream it when I was preparing for Cadillac Records. I was able to eat as much as I wanted because they wanted me to gain the weight. It was heaven."
