BESTIVAL WITH AN OLD RAPSCALLION
A hint at this year's Bestival fancy dress theme has been released ahead of Ro da Bank's confirmation 'poemcast' to be released on Monday.
The festival's Saturday inaugural fancy dress parade looks to have a swashbuckling theme this year as revellers wait in anticipation of what they should wear for the full weekend.
A taster of the poem, called One Night on the Isle of Wight, references pirate flags, "a skull and crossbones raggedy rag" and looking to starboard for a site of "ye olde Lobster and Crown".
The speculation over pirates is in addition to the race for the last few Bestival tickets, with less than 500 now remaining.
A host of new acts have also been added to the event's line-up, with DJ Yoda, Coldcut, and Roisin Murphy added to the bill.
Murphy first came to the attention of the masses as one half of the hit dance act Moloko, releasing tracks like Sing it Back and The Time is Now. She will take to the stage straight before 2ManyDJs on the Big Top stage on Sunday night.
The new acts join an already impressive line-up of artists including Primal Scream, Beastie Boys, Calvin Harris, Electrelane, the Chemical Brothers, the Gossip and the Go! Team.
Bestival takes place at Robin Hill Countyside Adventure Park near Newport on the Isle of Wight and runs from Friday September 7th to Sunday September 9th.
