BERGMAN'S ISLAND RETREAT UP FOR SALE

The island retreat owned by Swedish movie legend INGMAR BERGMAN is up for sale.
The moviemaker's Faro property, where he spent the final years of his life, is under offer through Christie's Great Estates in London.
The upscale estate agents are refusing to put a price on the Baltic Sea home, insisting Bergman's family wants to sell the property to the right buyer - not necessarily the one offering the most money.
Bergman died in July, 2007 and is buried on Faro where he spent almost 40 years of his life.
