BERFIELD SUES CONSTRUCTION FIRM OVER MOULDY HOME

Former MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE star JUSTIN BERFIELD is suing a Los Angeles construction firm for turning his old home into a mould-infested wreck. The actor, who now lives in pal Jessica Simpson's former home in Calabasas, California, claims he suffered respiratory problems while living in the Studio City home. He is suing Shell Burton Construction over what he says was faulty work the company did on the home, which once belonged to George Clooney. In a lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com, Berfield alleges he learned his former home was infested with mould when he tried to sell the house. Berfield is suing for negligence, breach of warranty and breach of contract, and is asking for damages in excess of $1 million (GBP513,000).
