BENNETT AND WINEHOUSE WIN JAZZ AWARDS
Singing legend TONY BENNETT and young soul star AMY WINEHOUSE were among the winners at the inaugural Ronnie Scotts Awards in London last night (07May07).
The I Left My Heart In San Francisco crooner, 80, was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to jazz music.
Winehouse picked up Jazz Crossover Album Of The Year for Back To Black, while English star Jamie Cullum was named UK Male Singer Of The Year.
Van Morrison won International Male Singer and Jane Monheit accepted the International Female Singer prize.
Ronnie Scotts nightclub in Soho, London has been going since 1959 and is one of the most prestigious jazz venues in the world.
