Berry, 41, confirmed rumours she was expecting her first child earlier this week (04Sep07). Her model boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, who she met on a Versace photo shoot in November 2005, is the father. Soul singer Benet, who divorced Berry in 2005 after four years of marriage, hopes his ex has a smooth running pregnancy. He says, "I wish Halle and her partner a healthy baby and all the happiness in the world." Berry was stepmother to Benet's daughter India during their marriage and planned to adopt the teenager before the couple's divorce.
