BELUSHI SUED FOR SELLING DODGY CAR

Comedian JAMES BELUSHI is being sued for selling a car that turned out to need thousands of dollars of repairs. The star sold his 2001 Land Rover to Jan Lewandowski, the 78-year-old father of his former driver, through internet auction site eBay. Lewandowski claims Belushi listed the car as 'in good condition', but when he received the vehicle it needed over $6,000 (GBP3,000) in repairs. Steve Van der Pyl, a private investigator working for the Lewandowskis, says, "He told him it was in perfect mechanical condition. He thought being a movie star, the guy's not going to lie to me about it." Belushi's attorney has hit back at the allegations, saying, "The claim is false and frivolous. The exact claim for the same repairs to the same vehicle has already been adjudicated."
