BELLE AND SEBASTIAN FINISH ALBUM
BELLE AND SEBASTIAN have finished work on their much-anticipated follow-up to THE LIFE PURSUIT.
Writing on the band's website, singer Stuart Murdoch said their eighth album entitled GOD HELP THE GIRL is almost finished.
Murdoch writes: "I'm aiming to master all the 'God Help The Girl' songs by the end of November. I think there are 18 of them. It's a good feeling to think about making records.
He added that it has been so long since he was involved with all aspects of putting out a record, he suspects "the landscape has changed".
Murdoch wondered if younger fans of the band would still be excited at the prospect of a new record coming out as "age dulls most thrills".
The forthcoming album will feature guest contributions from THE DIVINE COMEDY'S Neil Hannon and SMOOSH'S Asy.
A new BBC sessions album by the band is scheduled for release on November 17th.
