BECKHAM BOOKED FOR CHILDREN'S TALES

Sports superstar DAVID BECKHAM is set to launch a series of books for kids - but won't be writing them himself.
The devoted dad of three will lend his name to the range of novels, which are all set at his soccer academies in London and his adopted home of Los Angeles.
The first children's tale, which will be penned by a ghost writer, is due to hit stores worldwide next year (09).
A spokesperson for the star says, "David is please the Academy has inspired a series of books that will bring children to reading through football."
