BECKER SET TO BECOME POKER ACE
Former tennis champion BORIS BECKER will soon serve up aces of a different kind - he's training to compete in international poker tournaments. The 40-year-old German has been named ambassador of PokerStars, the world's largest online poker site, with more than 11 million players. And now he plans to carve out a career at the card tables. He says, "When I was still playing tennis, I learned to play poker casually in between matches because it helped me to improve my concentration. Now I want to develop my poker skills." He'll compete on the PokerStars European Poker Tour from next January (29Jan-02Feb07) and the Grand Finale in Monte Carlo in April (07), according to New York's PageSix.com.
