BECKER AUCTIONS AMPS TO PAY FOR ALS TREATMENT

Guitarist JASON BECKER is auctioning two of his amplifiers to raise money for his treatment for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (Lou Gehrig's Disease). The rocker, who preformed with DAVID LEE ROTH, was diagnosed with the disease in 1989, and given just five years to live. He has beaten the odds to survive 17 years, but has no mobility and is forced to communicate through an "alphabet board" invented by his father, that he uses by blinking his eyes - reports Blabbermouth.com. A posting on Becker's MySpace page reveals, "If you win the auction, you can pick the amps up at Jason's house and hang with him. And if you win, I'll even give you a cab to use, a Jason Becker t-shirt and an autographed picture of Jason and a photo of you with Jason that you can show your jealous friends."
