BECK: 'DANGER MOUSE COLLABORATION WAS AN ACCIDENT'

Rocker BECK had no idea GNARLS BARKLEY star DJ DANGER MOUSE would end up producing his new album - as they were only supposed to record one track together.
Danger Mouse - real name Brian Burton - originally only agreed to work on one song for Beck's new album Modern Guilt, blaming time constraints for limiting his input.
But they enjoyed working together so much, Burton agreed to produce the entire album.
And Loser hitmaker Beck was delighted - as that is what he had wanted all along.
He says, "We were already friends, so I called him and said, 'Let's do a record'. But he said, 'Well, I don't have time so we'll do one song.'
"We did the first song on the album (Orphans) and then decided that there was a whole record there. A couple of months later - we had a whole record."
