BEATTY BERATES WORKAHOLIC, `GREAT' PALS

WARREN BEATTY poked fun at pals CLINT EASTWOOD, JACK NICHOLSON and DUSTIN HOFFMAN at the Golden Globe Awards last night (15JAN07), after suggesting they all worked too hard to be great. The Cecil B Demille Award recipient joked that Eastwood's prolific moviemaking career made him feel terrible that he hadn't made a film in years. Addressing the FLAGS OF OUR FATHERS director, Beatty said, "Clint, are we not friendly? We're very friendly. I don't understand. First, you do one great movie right after another movie, then you gotta do two more movies that are just as great as the first two movies, but you gotta do them at the same time no less - and you do the score? "How do you think that makes me feel?" He also criticised pals Nicholson and Hoffman for being "great," before asking his friends why they couldn't do as theywere told. He joked, "I don't know why these guys can't take it a little easier. I don't know why they can't just do what I ask them to do. "I ask ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER to become a Democrat; he did what I said."
