BEAN'S ARTISTIC AMBITIONS

Brit star SEAN BEAN harboured an ambition to become an artist before he found success as an actor. THE LORD OF THE RINGS star has since given up producing his own work, but he satisfies his hunger for art by snapping up the latest creations by artists from around the world. Speaking at an exhibition of Indian artist SUHAS ROY's work at London's SW1 gallery, Bean says, "I've always loved art. "I actually wanted to be an artist before I started acting. I pick up stuff all over the world when I'm filming. "I bought quite a lot in New Zealand (when I filmed THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING) a few years ago. I'm very passionate about it."
