Woody Harrelson loved being a ''bum'' as he likes nothing better than hanging around on a beach.

The former 'Cheers' star likes nothing better than hanging around on a beach doing nothing but knows he needs to work to get money.

He said: "I'm a pacifist. I really don't like killing even zombies. I'm a peaceable guy. I just hang out in my bathing suit in Maui and spend a lot of time in the ocean with my kids and surf and stuff. I'm a good worker, hard worker, but a world-class vacationer. Before I started making films again, I took a five-year hiatus just being a bum in Maui and I loved it. But, unfortunately, I had to go back to work."

Woody also revealed how he misses being a child because he could go away with a lot more.

He told Parade.com: "Actually, I was a very sweet kid, but I would do naughty things and my brother would get blamed. As a result, I got away with a lot more than he did. I miss the child in me. I think it was Picasso who said, 'It takes a long time to become young.' I'm ready."
