BAYWATCH STAR NOLIN WRITING ABOUT POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION
Former BAYWATCH star GENA LEE NOLIN is writing a book to help new mums through postpartum depression after falling victim to the blues following the births of all three of her children.
The actress became a mum for the third time last December (08) when baby daughter Stella was born - and she spent much of the Christmas period in tears and miserable, questioning her abilities as a mum.
The feelings weren't new for the blonde - she'd experienced them after the births of her sons Spencer, 12, and Hudson, three.
And now Nolin is writing about her battles with post-birth depression in an effort to help others.
She tells Life & Style magazine, "I didn't want to get out of bed, and I would cry with no idea what I was crying about... (but) what I went through has made me a better mom, a better wife, a better woman. There is light at the end of the tunnel."
And the actress, who is married to ice hockey star Cale Hulse, has one big piece of advice for mums struggling with postpartum depression: "Get help. Reach out. Don't be hard on yourself."
