BASSEY DISCHARGED FROM HOSPITAL
LATEST: DAME SHIRLEY BASSEY has been released from hospital, just days after undergoing an emergency stomach operation.
The 71-year-old Welsh star was admitted to a hospital in Monaco, France - where she now resides - with abdominal pains last week (ends23May08).
But Bassey's spokesman Paul Carey says she is now at home "resting up and on the road to a full recovery".
The Big Spender hitmaker is expected to be back to full health in time for her performance at the former South African president Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert in London on 27th June (08).
