BASS AT APPLEGATE'S BEDSIDE THROUGH RECOVERY

CHRISTINA APPLEGATE was never alone throughout her battle against breast cancer - her friends, including singer LANCE BASS, were always at her bedside.
After testing positive for the deadly illness last month (Jul08), Applegate opted for a double mastectomy - and the drastic surgery left her "clear" of any tumours.
And former 'N Sync star Bass, the actress' longtime friend, insists her hospital stay was made bearable by the presence of her loved ones.
He tells People.com, "I was at the hospital holding her hand and getting her through it. She is a very, very loved person."
And the Samantha Who? star distracted herself by taking up a few hobbies while recovering.
Bass adds: "She's a big crossword puzzle girl. That kept her busy.
"In her hours of recovery, she's made all these roses out of lace. She has hundreds and hundreds of these amazing different roses. She doesn't know what she's going to do with them."
