BASIC INSTINCT 2 LEADS WAY AT RAZZIES
Sharon Stone's Basic Instinct 2 and Little Man have led the way in nominations at the Razzies – Hollywood's alternative to the Oscars.
Created in 1980 by critic John Wilson, the Golden Raspberry awards pick out the worst films from each year to ridicule.
Rather than the much-coveted golden statuette of the Oscars, the Razzies hand over a gold spray-painted golfball-sized raspberry on top of a twisted film reel.
Described by the Razzies as a "lascivious murder mystery that turned out to be a laugh riot", Basic Instinct 2 and the "blatant knock-off of a 1954 Bugs Bunny cartoon" Little Man have seven nominations.
Both films have been nominated for worst picture but face some stiff competition from Lady In The Water, Wicker Man and Bloodrayne.
Sharon Stone has been nominated as worst actress along with Jessica Simpson (Employee of the Month), Lindsay Lohan (Just My Luck), Kristanna Loken (Bloodrayne) and Hilary and Haylie Duff (Material Girls).
Deck The Halls, Garfield 2, RV, Santa Clause 2 and Shaggy Dog have been nominated as the worst excuse for family entertainment.
The Razzies will be held on 'Oscars eve' – Saturday February 24th at Hollywood's Ivar Theatre.
