BARRINO PREGNANCY RUMOURS
AMERICAN IDOL winner FANTASIA BARRINO is expecting her second child, according to reports. The 23-year-old star fuelled speculation she was pregnant after cancelling a string of performances in The Color Purple on Broadway earlier this year (07) - and has missed a total of 50 shows since the summer. Atlanta rapper Young Dro - real name D' Juan Hart - is rumoured to be the father of the child, according to various celebrity bloggers. Barrino already has a six-year-old daughter, Zion Quari, by a former boyfriend.

Fantasia Barrino shoots down pregnancy rumors

Despite speculation online and in the New York Post, former American Idol
winner Fantasia Barrino is not expecting a baby. In a statement to US, the rep
for the 23-year-old star of the Broadway version of The Color Purple
categorically denied the rumors as "entirely untrue." Furthermore, a rep for
the show offered up an explanation for Fantasia's sporadic absences from the
stage production, absences which seemed to spark the speculation in the first
place.
It is true that she has missed some performances because she has gotten sick
from time to time over the nine months, but doing eight shows a week is a lot
so she missed a few.
