BARLOW SLAMS BRIT AWARD ORGANISERS
TAKE THAT star GARY BARLOW has blasted the organisers of the Brit Awards for failing to give the band the recognition they deserve. The reformed British boyband picked up two of the four awards they were nominated for on Wednesday (20Feb08) night - British Single for Shine and British Live Act. But the prizes were for categories voted for by the public, and Barlow is angry the Brits' own judging panel snubbed them in the awards for British Group and British Album for Beautiful World - both of which went to rockers Arctic Monkeys. He rants, "It's amazing that when the public get to vote we always do well. It's brilliant. "But it gets to me that whenever we have been nominated for other awards we always get overlooked. It's a disgrace. I think we were in with a shout this year but it just goes to show we don't fit the mould."
