BARKIN BLAMES PERELMAN FOR MISSED ACTING OPPORTUNITIES

Newly-single ELLEN BARKIN has accused her ex-husband RON PERELMAN of holding back her Hollywood career. The actress has reignited her movie career since her split from the Revlon cosmetics boss in February 2006 - and will soon appear in sequel Ocean's Thirteen. Barkin, who is currently writing a novel, rumoured to be about her relationship with Perelman, claims single life has reinvigorated her. She tells the US edition of Glamour magazine, "What I really love is being myself again. I don't know if I would feel so excited about my life at 53 if I had not gone through a black period of just losing myself. "That's when marriage is dangerous - when it keeps you from doing the things you love, and you find you are looking for air."
