BARDOT TURNS 75 WITH PET COMPANY

BRIGITTE BARDOT is keeping her 75th birthday low-key - she's planning on celebrating at home with her pets.
The screen siren turned the landmark age on Monday (18Sep09) to much fanfare in her native France, where an exhibition of memorabilia and photographs opened in Paris.
Bardot will not be attending the tribute because of her ailing health, as she is forced to walk with crutches because of arthritis. She has instead opted to stay in the company of her cats and dogs to celebrate turning 75.
An organiser of Brigitte Bardot: The Carefree Years says, "Brigitte does not want to be part of any kind of fuss, and would prefer to stay with her pets.
"She now has to use crutches to walk, so travelling to Paris would be difficult. She doesn't want to be pictured either."
