BARDOT HONOURED BY EXHIBITION

BRIGITTE BARDOT's 75th birthday will be celebrated on Monday (18Sep09) with an exhibition in her honour in her native Paris, France.
As the screen icon reaches the landmark, Brigitte Bardot: The Carefree Years will be unveiled, displaying photographs and footage of the actress throughout her career, as well as mementos and memorabilia, such as her wedding dress and portraits of the star by Andy Warhol.
Bardot, forced to walk on crutches because of arthritis, won't attend the exhibition, but has recorded a message to fans, which has been broadcast on French television. She says, "I am proud to have an exhibition, to be recognised for what I've done with my life."
The exhibition will run until January 2010 at Paris' Espace Landowski.
